ST. RICHARD’S SUMMER FAIR: Many thanks to everyone who donated items for the stalls, especially the tremendous response from our school. Thank you also to those who came along, those who organised the fair and everyone who helped and worked so hard on the day. The magnificent amount of £2,613.82p was raised for our parish.

SEA SUNDAY COLLECTION NEXT WEEKEND – Sunday, 14th July, when the Church prays for all those who live and work at sea. There will be a second collection for Stella Maris, Apostleship of the Sea, and the official maritime agency of the Catholic Church. It provides practical and spiritual support to seafarers visiting our ports.

SAD NEWS: We are saddened to hear of the death of Fr. David Egan’s mother, Bridget who passed away on Wednesday 3rd July at the age of 99 years. Our prayers and thoughts are with Fr. David and his family at this sad time.

APF – MISSIO RED BOXES: St. Mary’s Promoters are due to call round to empty member’s red mission boxes over the next couple of weeks. If you have not had your box emptied for some time please either bring your box to church at the weekend and hand it in at the Sacristy or telephone Wyn O’Connor at the office on 248 8836 and arrangements can be made to collect it from your home.

SALFORD LOAVES AND FISHES runs a Drop-In Day-Centre in the City for homeless and other vulnerable people. They currently have a number of volunteer vacancies at their Salford Centre. They are looking for an Activity helper plus Café companion. If you would like to get involved behind the scenes there are plenty of opportunities including: 500 Campaign supporter/organiser, Fundraiser, Friend of organising social activities/fundraising. CONCERT – An evening of music ‘The Beatles’ favourites at Levenshulme Baptist Church, Elmsworth Ave, M19 3NS next Friday 12th July at 7.30pm to raise funds for Werneth Concert Band.

ST. RICHARD’S COFFEE MORNING is held every Wednesday in the Sacristy after the 9.15am morning Mass

LEGION OF MARY GROUP meet each Thursday after the 9.30am Mass in St. Mary’s Meeting Room. All Welcome.
