CELEBRATION OF FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Wednesday 8th May at 7pm – Communion Meeting for parents and children in St. Mary’s School.
Thursday 9th May at 6pm – Communion Meeting for parents and children in St. Richard’s School.
Sunday 12th May St. Mary’s Year 3 boys and girls will receive their First Holy Communion at the 1pm Mass.
St. Richard’s children will receive their First Holy Communion on Thursday 16th May at 6.30pm and the following Thursday 23rd May at 6.30pm.
Please keep all the children and their parents in your prayers at this time.

ECCLESIASTICAL EDUCATION FUND
There will be a second collection taken next weekend for the Ecclesiastical Education Fund. This is the diocesan fund set aside for the training of our future priests, also used in the ongoing formation of clergy. Please be as generous as you can.

ACN RETREAT FOR THE SUFFERING CHURCH
You are invited to join the Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) at Salford Cathedral for a day long retreat to pray for those who are persecuted for their faith. There will be updates on CAN’s work, along with guided devotions and time for Holy Mass and private prayer. The retreat will take place between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 25th May; there is a charge of £15 p.p., please bring a packed lunch with you. APPEAL FOR VOLUNTEERS: The Salford Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes (July 25th – 31st) makes an appeal for volunteer nurses and health care assistants. Financial support, obtained through a special bursary fund may be available for those involved in healthcare, to assist with the cost of travel and accommodation. Contact 0161 817 2209 or email

EMPOWERED CONVERSATIONS COURSE is a practical course that supports you to think about your communications and relationships with a loved one living with dementia. Join us for four FREE sessions to pause, reflect and connect with other family carers who are facing similar challenges. The next course on Thursdays, June 6, 13, 20, 27.
