PARISH SUMMER FAIR TODAY in St. Richard’s church grounds from 12noon. This is not only one of the social highlights of the year but is also one of the biggest contributors to parish funds. As ever, we have a fantastic range of stalls and activities with something for everyone. We hope you will all come along and enjoy the afternoon.
PETER’S PENCE COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND
During the Masses this weekend, we will take the Peter’s Pence Collection, which provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Let’s help the Holy Father to help others! Your contribution, however small, is important.

SALFORD LOAVES AND FISHES runs a Drop-In Day-Centre in the City for homeless and other vulnerable people. They currently have a number of volunteer vacancies at their Salford Centre. They are looking for an Activity helper plus Café companion. If you would like to get involved behind the scenes there are plenty of opportunities including: 500 Campaign supporter/organiser, Fundraiser, Friend of organising social activities/fundraising. THANK YOU FROM CORNERSTONE: Sister Lucy thanks all those who regularly contributes gifts of food and clothing to Cornerstone. Their shelves were almost empty, now you have filled them again. A letter of thanks for your generosity can be found on the notice board in the church porch.
