BISHOP JOHN’S VISITATION TO OUR PARISH
This weekend we welcome Bishop John who will celebrate the Masses at both St. Richard’s and St. Mary’s on Saturday evening and Sunday morning and will meet everyone after each Mass. This will be the first official visitation of our new Parish of St. Robert of Newminster, so I hope everyone will be present at Mass to meet Bishop John.

The funeral of James Anthony Trow will take place on Thursday 3rd October at 3pm at Manchester Crematorium.

GRAND CHARITY DANCE
A fundraising night in aid of Fr. Pat Clarke’s Mission in Sao Paulo, which has been badly devastated by recent floods, will be held at St. Mary’s Parish Centre next Saturday, 5th October at 7.00pm. CHURCHES TOGETHER IN LEVENSHULME
Volunteers are needed to help with the Boaz Night Shelter for homeless men at St Peter’s Church. The shelter will run on Thursday nights from October 3. The organisers need help with jobs such as organizing the room, making up beds, cooking breakfasts etc. or as an overnight helper. Next weekend Little Sisters of the Poor representatives will be selling raffle tickets at both St. Richard’s and St. Mary’s at the Saturday evening and Sunday morning Masses.
