WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY : The Catholic Church celebrates World Communications Day next Sunday 2nd June, when we are asked to pray for those who work in the media and when a second collection will be taken after each Mass next weekend to fund this important work.
HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION: the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord into Heaven has been restored to its original day. This year it is on Thursday 30th May. There will be two Masses, St. Mary’s at 9.30am and 7.00pm at St. Richard’s.
ST. RICHARD’S SUMMER FAIR: We need to start collecting for the various items for all the stalls for our annual Summer Fair. The date is Sunday 30th June 2019, in the grounds of St. Richard’s Church. As usual everything will be under cover. Please keep the date free and come along on the day.
EMPOWERED CONVERSATIONS COURSE is a practical course that supports you to think about your communications and relationships with a loved one living with dementia. Join us for four FREE sessions to pause, reflect and connect with other family carers who are facing similar challenges. The next course on Thursdays, June 6, 13, 20, 27. Time 10am – 12.30pm Venue: Levenshulme Old Library, Cromwell Grove, M19 3QE.
LOURDES PILGRIMAGE: The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place between Thursday 25th July and Wednesday 31st July 2019 and it is hoped that priests and people from all over the Salford Diocese will join Bishop John on pilgrimage, to Our Lady’s shrine at Lourdes in France.
