Baptism registration takes place at St Mary’s Church after the 11am Mass on the second Sunday of each month. Parents are warmly invited to register their child after this Mass.


World Mission Sunday

World Mission Sunday this year will take place on 22nd October. On this day, the whole Church unites together through prayer for its missionary activity, and by collecting funds to support Catholic communities across the world experiencing situations of poverty and turmoil.

The theme chosen by the Holy Father is: ‘Hearts on fire, feet on the move’ (based on Luke 24).


Diocesan Day Retreat – The Feeding of the 5,000

Wednesday 18th October, 11.30am – 3pm

The Diocese of Salford’s Department for Formation is delighted to announce the return of its regular day retreat programme. Join experienced retreat leader Donna Worthington as she explores the Gospel story of The Feeding of the 5,000 in our first session. Retreats cost £20 per person and booking ahead is advised. Candlelight Christmas Carol Concert

Thursday 21 December, 7 – 8pm with refreshments from 8pm.

Everyone welcome, bring your family and friends!

Concert rehearsals will be held at St Mary’s after Mass on Sunday on 5th, 12th and 19th November.


There will be Mass at St Mary’s for Year 6 children from St Mary’s Primary School on 17 October. Parents and carers welcome.


St Mary’s Christmas Fair will be on Saturday 9 December after morning Mass. Donations for gifts for all stalls welcome (no clothing or bric-a-brac, please).


St Mary’s Social Club presents a Night of Nostalgia with Pat Jordan & Finian’s Rainbow, and music from the late greats. Saturday 21 October. Tickets £5.


Manchester Set Dance Club
