TODAY IS EDUCATION SUNDAY: Education Sunday is the special time of year when our Catholic community comes together to celebration and support our Catholic schools. Coinciding with the start of the academic term it is an opportunity for us to give thanks for the important work our schools perform. Catholic schools couldn’t exist without the support of the Catholic community. The second collection taken today is vital in enabling our schools to continue to thrive.

LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR representatives will be selling raffle tickets at both St. Richard’s and St. Mary’s this weekend. Please support this worthy cause as it is always appreciated.

HOME MISSION SUNDAY 16th SEPTEMBER 2018 Each year in the Catholic Church, on the third Sunday of September, we celebrate Home Mission Sunday. On this day the Bishops invite parishes to pray for the mission of the Church in England and Wales and there is a second collection to support the Bishops’ work of evangelisation. The money you give to this collection does not go abroad. It’s used to help Catholics throughout England and Wales become more confident in sharing their faith.
