SECOND COLLECTION next weekend for Day for Life.
The annual Day for Life collection helps fund the crucial work of the Anscombe Bioethics Centre, formerly the Linacre Centre, as well as projects which work to protect life at every stage and every condition.

ST. RICHARD’S SUMMER FAIR will take place in St. Richard’s church grounds on Sunday 30th June at 12noon. (Only 3 weeks away). To make the fair a real success we need donations for all the stalls as soon as possible i.e. Good as New items, Bottles for the Bottle Stall, Tombola, Raffle Prizes, Toiletries, Bric-a-brac, Homemade cakes etc. Donations can be left at St. Richard’s Presbytery or can be put in the box at the back of St. Mary’s Church.

FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY: On 2nd September 1969 St. Richard’s School opened for the first time. In September of this year we will be celebrating fifty years of one of our primary schools. Today, I ask for your help with ideas/photographs etc. for the celebration of this important anniversary for our parish.

MEN’S SUPPORT GROUP: The importance of mental health, particularly with regard to men, has been highlighted recently. Fr. Laurence would, therefore, like to set up a safe space for men, married, single and widowed to come together to pray and talk in confidence about the issues that affect us. The first monthly meeting will be on Friday 14th June at 7pm. in the Meeting Room of St. Mary’s Presbytery.

CATHOLIC MEDICAL ASSOCIATION BARBECUE: For all those involved in healthcare, the Catholic Medical Association invites you to a barbecue in the garden at the back of St. Mary’s Presbytery on Friday 21st June, beginning with Mass in St. Mary’s. QUARANT ΌRE: The Oratory Church of Saint Chad, Cheetham Hill Rd, M4 4EX invite you to join them in Forty Hours, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Friday 21st June from 5.30pm to Sunday 23rd June. Saint Chads will be open throughout the day and night for the duration of the forty hours.
