READERS REQUIRED: Readers play an important role in the celebration of the Mass. By reading the Scriptures as part of the Liturgy of the Word, in doing so, they help the church to understand the Word of God. We are fortunate to have a small group of readers for all the weekend Masses at St. Mary’s but new readers are always welcome. Two readers are required for each weekend Mass and usually the commitment involved would be reading once every 4 to 5 weeks. A readers’ rota is prepared and circulated, which sets when each reader is expected to read. If you are interested in becoming a reader at St. Mary’s or would like to find out more, please contact Marie Sartini on 07747 851 239 (Saturday 6.30pm Mass) or Peggy Sweeney on 07808 966 425 (Sunday 11am Mass).
