Our Lady of Guadalupe: The Blessed Virgin appeared to Saint Juan Diego on the mountain of Tepeyac in what is now Mexico in 1531, miraculously leaving her image on is cloak which is still venerated today. Through Saint Juan Diego the Blessed Virgin calls all peoples to the love of Christ.


Pray for the Sick and Housebound and those who are known to you especially Neil Rogers. May the Good Lord strengthen and comfort them. Pray also for all who care for the sick.


Grant eternal rest to those who have died recently.

ST. MARY’S CHRISTMAS FAIR: Today (Sunday) after the 11 o’clock Mass, our Christmas Fair takes place in the parish centre. Father Christmas will be in his grotto waiting for his visitors. A special word of thanks to all the people who have worked so hard in preparing for today. Also everyone who donated items for the different stalls; these are not easy times for anyone, but your generosity was commendable. All it needs now is your presence to make it a happy and successful occasion.


ST. RICHARD’S RAFFLE: This weekend is your last chance to buy raffle tickets for the big Christmas raffle. Tickets are on sale after both Masses at St. Richard’s this weekend. The Draw will take place this evening (Sunday 6th December) after Bingo.


KEY 103 MISSION CHRISTMAS APPEAL: This year St. Mary’s School will be supporting the ‘Key103 Mission Christmas Appeal’. If any member of the parish wish to donate a new and unwrapped present, for an underprivileged child under the age of 18, then the school would be very grateful. In addition the school will be holding a ‘Cash for Coffee’ morning next Friday, 11th December between 9am and 11am. All members of the parish community are most welcome to come along.


SAD NEWS: We are saddened to hear of the recent death of Fr. William Techie’s mother, Regina. Her funeral will take place in Ghana on the 18th December, attended by over 40 priests. Fr. William’s address is: Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Quasi Parish, P.O. Box AG15, Agbozume, Volta Region, Ghana.


‘OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE’- Pro-Life Celebration Day will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Oxford St, Eccles, M30 0LU next Saturday, 12th December from 11.30am. For full details of the programme please see poster in the church porch.


ST. MARY’S CHRISTMAS BUFFET LUNCH: Next Sunday 13th December 1pm – 4pm. in the parish centre. Entertainment provided by D.J. Justin. Tickets £10 p.p. available from the parish centre after the 11 o’clock Mass on Sundays.
