BINGO every Sunday in the lounge area of St. Mary’s Community Centre. Bingo starts at 8pm. Come and join us for a fun filled evening where you could be the lucky winner.

PRACTISE WHAT YOU PREACH: We have all heard the expression ‘Do as I say, not as I do’. We could all come up with examples of people who do not practise what they preach. The accusation appears to have been made for the Scribes and the Pharisees that Jesus talks about in today’s gospel. He criticises them for placing heavy burdens on people, while not lifting a finger to help them, and for making themselves look important in order to attract attention. Today’s gospel is a wake-up call. It tells us what Jesus expects of us. We must be humble and genuine, thinking of others rather than worrying about what people will think of us.

ST. MARY’S & ST. RICHARD’S CHRISTMAS FAIR: The countdown is on to our Annual Christmas Fairs! We are now only 3-4 weeks away until the big day and we need YOUR help please!! The Christmas Fair is a vital source of income for our parish and we want to make this event as successful as possible. Can you donate or help out on the day? We urgently require donations of Tombola prizes for all ages, Bottles for the bottle stall, raffle prizes, toys, toiletries, fancy goods, chocolates etc., All donations can be dropped off at either St. Mary’s or St. Richard’s presbytery over the next few weeks or put in the box at the back of church.

ST. MARY’S CHRISTMAS FAIR: There will be a meeting in the lounge area of St. Mary’s Community Centre next Tuesday, 7th November at 7pm for people who would like to be involved in some way, either through the planning and organisation, setting up the hall the night before, help run a stall or cleaning up after the fair is over. Please come along to the meeting if you would like to help. The Christmas Fair is a fantastic way of bringing the parish together as a community.

CHRISTMAS DRAW RAFFLE TICKETS: Buying and selling raffle tickets is one of the best ways to help raise vital funds for our parish, and every ticket costs only 50p. As well as being in with a chance of winning great cash prizes there are many other prizes that must be won too. So why not join in and see if you could be a winner? Christmas Draw Raffle Tickets are available at the back of church. The draw will take place on Sunday 17th December after the 11 o’clock Mass in St. Mary’s Community Centre.
