PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Please note there will be no Mass in St Richards on Monday 6th. Fr has finally agreed to take a day off.

  1. We are looking forward to hearing your ideas and thoughts, through your feedback to the questionnaire distributed two weeks ago. Kindly return yours and drop inside the box provided at the back of church.
  2. We require a list of names, contact numbers and addresses of Parishioners who are housebound, in order to compile a list for visitation by Fr Kris once a month.

Please contact the office on Monday or Thursday between 10am and 1pm to summit names of your loved one if you wish them to be included and visited. Or place the details of the person in the white post box at the back of St Mary’s Church.

  1. We congratulate our eight young people who were confirmed last weekend. We wish them the grace of God in their lives
  2. The month of May in the Catholic Church, is the month dedicated to Our Blessed Mother Mary. There will be recitation of the Holy Rosary, 30 mins before Mass throughout the month of May. We encourage parishioners to recite the Rosary at home also.
  3. There will be a second collection next week for the Catholic Communication Network.
  4. The grotto of Our Lady at St Richard’s church is beautifully renovated. God’s abundant blessings on the Agbonrofo family.
There will be a re-dedication/blessing of the Grotto immediately after the 9:30 am Mass today (5th May)
  5. The Good Shepherd Company from the Holy Land and based in Nottingham, will be at both our Churches after all Masses next weekend, selling their wood carvings. Their aim is to help Christian families in the Holy Land to remain in work as olive wood carvers, as it is an important source of income for them, as 90% of Christians rely on the sale of these products. By selling their produce here on their behalf helps prevent the Christians from leaving the country in search of better work opportunities. The last survey showed only forty one thousand Christians are left in the area.

Have a good week everyone.
