WALK WITH ME BOOKLETS: Free copies of Lenten Walk with Me are available at the back of church. Why not take some to the sick and housebound in your neighbourhood?

Further to this weekend’s Pastoral Letter from Bishop John, we will be screening the video Global Healing in the Meeting Room in St. Mary’s Presbytery on Wednesday 13th March at 7pm. Please come along and play your part in caring for our common home. If there is some interest, we may be able to run a series of reflections on the Wednesday evenings of Lent.

CELEBRATION OF FIRST RECONCILIATION
St. Mary’s Church: The children at St. Mary’s School make their First Confession at a Service of Reconciliation on Tuesday 5th March at 7.00pm.
St. Richard’s Church: St. Richard’s school children on Friday 22nd March at 10.00am.
We remember them and their parents in our prayers as they prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion.
LENT: During the season of Lent the celebration of Stations of the Cross will start at 6.00pm every Sunday evening in St. Mary’s Church, led by parishioners.
CEILI – in St. Mary’s Parish Centre on Sunday 17th March from 3pm – 5pm. Everyone welcome, just come along and enjoy an afternoon of dancing to celebrate the feast of St. Patrick..

MISSIO/RED MISSION BOXES: In the last year, members of the Red Box in St. Mary’s Church have raised over £2,375.81. A Big Thank you! Through the Red Box you enable priests to celebrate Mass in far-flung corners of the world; provide bicycles for parish catechists to get around their vast parishes; and help train future priests and sisters to be missionaries. St. Mary’s promoters will be calling round during the month of March to empty member’s boxes. If you don’t already have a red box and would like further information please telephone the office on 248 8836.

LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR: Chocolate Easter Chicks will be on sale next weekend 9th/10th March at St. Mary’s and St. Richard’s. All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Longsight.

LEGION OF MARY GROUP meet each Thursday after the 9.30am Mass in St. Mary’s Meeting Room. All Welcome.

BINGO: Bingo Night is held every Sunday at 8pm in the Lounge area of St. Mary’s Community Centre. Everyone is welcomed, feel free to invite a friend!

ST. RICHARD’S COFFEE MORNING is held every Wednesday in the Sacristy after the 9.15am morning Mass. Everyone welcome.
