APF-MILL HILL MISSION APPEAL NEXT WEEKEND
Next weekend we welcome Fr. Jan Klaver from the Mill Hill Missionaries who will talk on the vital work being carried out by missionaries around the world through the support of Red Box holders and online donors in our parishes.
CAFOD & CORNERSTONE CHURCH WALL BOXES
Thank you to everyone who donated cash to Cornerstone and CAFOD during the year 2021. The amount of £312.80 for Cornerstone Day Centre and £249.93 for CAFOD was sent to them during the week.
HOLY COMMUNION at HOME: Our Eucharistic Ministers are now able to take Holy Communion once more to the sick and housebound at home (though not yet to those in nursing homes). It’s possible now that some who used to attend Mass regularly before the pandemic may not now feel fit enough to return. Would you like Holy Communion to be brought to you at home? Please contact Fr. Dever (224 1498) or the Parish Office (248 8836).
AFGHANISTAN CRISIS APPEAL
CAFOD is combining efforts with the DEC to launch the Afghanistan Crisis Appeal. In Afghanistan, 8 million people are on the brink of famine because of drought, collapsing economy, food shortages, conflict, and Covid. CAFOD is supporting sister Caritas agencies to reach communities most in need with food, clean water, and fuel. During Advent, when we open ourselves to the needs of others, let’s do all that we can to save lives. You can donate on the CAFOD website: cafod.org.uk/AfghanistanAppeal and please pray for the people of Afghanistan.
