DOMINICAN MISSION APPEAL
We welcome to St. Mary’s this weekend Fr. Leo Edgar O.P of the Dominican Order who will celebrate the 6.30pm Saturday and 11.00am Sunday Masses. The following weekend 8th/9th August Fr. Leo will make an appeal at St. Richard’s parish.
ST. MARY’S PRESBYTERY
Two new apartments have now been created in the presbytery for Fr. David Egan and Canon David Ryder. Both priests have now moved in. Each priest has his own Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen and Sitting Room. In addition, a new en-suite visitor’s room has also been created, opposite the old front door.
We now also have a separate Parish Meeting Room, with a Kitchen, Toilet, new Waiting Room and Parish Office.
I would like to thank everyone at St. Mary’s for their generous support both now and in the past. Also thanks to the Parish Centre and those who have supported it over the years. This work in the Presbytery was only possible because of these two sources of income. The renovation of the Presbytery and the Sacristy area is not yet finished. This will continue and hopefully be completed soon.
FAMILY FUN DAY
Today (Sunday, 2nd August) there will be a ‘Family Fun Day’ in St. Mary’s Parish Centre from 12noon to 3pm. There will be something for all the family, including a Cake Stall. Admission £1.
