CARITAS CORNERSTONE’S BIG SLEEP OUT 2021
This is Cornerstone’s major fundraising event and your support means that we can continue to provide practical help and intensive 1:1 support for people that are street homeless or ‘sofa-surfing,’ and those without the security of a permanent home. To experience just a fraction of the challenges of what it is like to sleep rough for just one night and to help those who live this reality every day – we need you! This is a vital event, which we are committed to holding, as a way of introducing more people to the plight of homelessness and advocating for an end to it. We are asking people to support rough sleepers by sleeping outdoors overnight at Xaverian College, Manchester, from 7pm on Friday 17th September, or by “boycotting their bed” from their own home. For further information please email fundraising@caritassalford.org.uk.

ST. MARY’S SUNDAY COLLECTION COUNTERS: In the next few weeks, we will begin to organise a new rota for Counters after Sunday Mass. If you were previously a counter before the lockdown, please contact Richard Molloy on 07791 925 190 to let him know if you would be willing to continue. Likewise, if you have not done so before, but are willing to help as a Counter, please contact Richard. The more volunteers we get, the less frequently you will have to do it! Counting the Sunday Collection is not a difficult job, but it is a big help to the Parish and much appreciated.

REOPENING OF CATHEDRAL CENTRE FACILITIES: We are delighted to announce that Cathedral Centre Books has now reopened (8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday).
