Birthday Celebration: Pat Holden

CARITAS: Caritas Diocese of Salford is the official charity of the Diocese. The vision is that the lives of all people should be free from poverty, disadvantage and discrimination. The purpose is to help the most vulnerable children, young people and adults in their communities to transform their lives and fulfil their potential. There will be a second collection this weekend in support of their work.

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMME: We welcome St. Mary’s Year 3 children and their families today at the 11 o’clock Mass for the celebration ‘We are the People of God’.
St. Richard’s children and their parents will meet next Thursday 31st January at 6.00pm in St. Richard’s School. On Saturday 2nd February the children and parents will celebrate Mass at 5.00pm in St. Richard’s Church. Please pray for all the children and their families as they make their journey through the programme, that they may continue to grow stronger in their faith and become closer to God in his mercy and love.

READERS AND CHURCH CLEANERS REQUIRED: Would you like to help out in some way in the life of the Church? St. Richard’s are looking for volunteer readers and church cleaners! If you would like to volunteer to read at Mass or help clean the church, please contact Fr. Dever.

THE NATIONAL PILGRIM VIRGIN STATUE OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA along with Relics of Saints Jacinta and Francisco will visit the Cathedral of St. John, Chapel Street, Salford M3 5LE on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th February. A series of events and services are planned across the two days, including a special Mass on the Sunday at 11am which Bishop John will preside over.

THANK YOU: The family of the late Mary Mackrell wish to thank everyone who attended Mary’s funeral recently, and all who sent Mass cards and messages of sympathy. Many thanks also for all the donations – A total of £700 has been passed on to St. Ann’s Hospice.

LEGION OF MARY GROUP meet each Thursday after the 9.30am Mass in St. Mary’s Meeting Room. All Welcome.

BINGO: Bingo Night is held every Sunday at 8pm in the Lounge area of St. Mary’s Community Centre. Come along and join us.

ST. RICHARD’S COFFEE MORNING is held every Wednesday in the Sacristy after the 9.15am morning Mass. Everyone welcome to come along.
