HOLY COMMUNION AT HOME: Eucharistic Ministers are once more able to visit people in their own home in order to give Holy Communion to anyone who is unable to come to church. All our ministers have been DBS checked and will have taken precautions to ensure they do not carry the Covid virus. If you know of anyone who would like to receive Holy Communion, please ask the person’s permission and then give their name, address and phone number to Fr. Dever or the parish office. We will then make contact by phone to arrange when we can visit.

HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION – Wednesday is the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul, and is a Holy day of Obligation. Masses will be 9.15am at St. Richard’s and 7pm at St. Mary’s.

ST. ROBERT’S GARDEN PARTY: Many thanks to everyone who came to the meeting, and all those who offered to help. The date was fixed for Sunday 18th September 2022 in the grounds of St. Richard’s. We decided to begin collecting items for the various stalls straight away. If you have any items you can donate for the stalls plus raffle prizes will you please bring to either church any weekend? We are also looking for volunteers to help on the day regarding setting up the stalls, cleaning up afterwards and looking after one of the stalls. If you can help in any way will you please put your name and telephone number on the list at the back of church. All the gazebos will be erected on Thursday and Friday prior to the Sunday. We hope that this will be a great social and financial event for our new parish.

EXHIBITION ABOUT 1982 PAPAL VISIT: Step back in time and reflect on Pope John Paul II’s historic visit to our diocese by exploring a fantastic exhibition at Our Lady of Grace Church, in Prestwich. The exhibition features a range of photographs and mementos from that wonderful day on 31st May 1982, where the Pope celebrated Mass in Heaton Park and ordained 12 men to the priesthood. It will run until Sunday 3rd July and can be visited between 9am and 6pm Monday to Saturday and between 8am and 12 noon on Sundays

The venue covering our diocese is at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Evangelist (known as Salford Cathedral) Salford, M3 5LE.
