Special Intention: In Thanksgiving

CATHOLIC YOUTH SERVICE: A mandatory collection will be taken at all Masses this weekend for the Catholic Youth Service. This collection is held to provide support, formation and opportunities for young people. Thank you for anything that you can give.

ST. RICHARD’S CHRISTMAS FAIR will take place next Sunday 2nd December at 12noon. It is both a wonderful social occasion and an important fund raising event for the parish. There will be the usual stalls, raffles, refreshments etc. As always the success of the Fair depends on people being willing to give items for the various stalls, and also people being willing to staff the stalls on the day. Please come along there’s something for everyone.

CHRISTMAS RAFFLE TICKETS: These are available at the back of both churches, they cost £2.50 per book. 1st Prize £250, 2nd Prize £100, 3rd Prize £50. Please take some to buy for yourself and some to sell to family and friends. The draw will take place at St. Mary’s Christmas Fair on Sunday 16th December. All counterfoils and money to be returned by Friday, 14th December at the latest.

WALK WITH ME: Walk with Me prayer booklets for Advent are available. Please feel free to take one. They provide a useful structure for prayer during Advent as we prepare for Christmas.

MISSIO/RED MISSION BOXES: St. Mary’s Promoters will be calling round shortly to empty member’s red mission boxes. If you have not had your box emptied for some time please either bring the box to church and leave in the Sacristy or phone Wyn O’Connor at the office on 248 8836. Thank you.

CORNERSTONE: As winter approaches Cornerstone are appealing for woolly hats, scarves, gloves, socks and sleeping bags for homeless and vulnerable people. Please leave donations at the back of church. Thank you.

LEGION OF MARY meeting is held each Thursday after morning Mass in St. Mary’s Meeting Room. If anyone is interested in what we do you are very welcome to attend. For more information, come and meet us.
