As you are aware, pupils in year 6 will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation when they are in year 8 (Easter 2021). An invitation from Bishop John to the young people to continue their faith journey towards Confirmation has been sent out via our Catholic schools. If your child is not in a Catholic school and has not received an invitation, can you please speak to Fr. Dever (Tel. 0161 224 1498) as he also has the invitation letters and register of interest forms.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS every Sunday evening at 6.00pm during Lent at St. Mary’s Church.

LENT AT THE HIDDEN GEM: If you are visiting Manchester City Centre during the Season of Lent, why not pop into St. Mary’s, the Hidden Gem? Each weekday there will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Confessions (11.30am). Holy Mass (12.30pm) and Stations of the Cross (1pm). The church is open for quiet prayer from 8am till 6pm each day.

SONG OF PRAISE EVENING: Levenshulme Baptist Church next Sunday 31st March at 6.30pm.

APPEAL FOR WOOL: Sister Edith, and her group of ‘knitters’ are in need of oddments of any kind and colour of wool for knitting blankets for the local and overseas needy people. Please leave any contributions in the box provided in church. Thank you.

LEGION OF MARY GROUP meet each Thursday after the 9.30am Mass in St. Mary’s Meeting Room. All Welcome.

BINGO: Bingo Night is held every Sunday at 8pm in the Lounge area of St. Mary’s Community Centre. Come along and join us for a fun filled evening.

ST. RICHARD’S COFFEE MORNING is held every Wednesday in the Sacristy after the 9.15am morning Mass. Everyone welcome.
