ST. MARY’S SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMME

Today is a special day for the parents of the children preparing for Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion? We come to honour Christ Our King. The worshipping community of our parish and of the primary school that shares in the mission of the parish commit ourselves to accompany the families on their journey into the Mystery of Christ. We warmly welcome them today.

 

SECOND COLLECTION

There will be a second collection this weekend for the Retired Clergy Fund.

 

ST. MARY’S CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE

We are looking for children aged between 5yrs – 15yrs to take part in St. Mary’s Christmas Eve Liturgy.  If there are any young volunteers who would like to take part please see Marie Sartini today (Sunday) after Mass in church or telephone Marie on 07747 851 239

 

ST. MARY’S CHRISTMAS GRAND DRAW/FAIR

Christmas Grand Draw tickets will be on sale from this weekend. The draw will take place on 7th December at the Christmas Fair. Prizes: 1st – 40” TV, 2nd – Galaxy Samsung Tablet, 3rd – iPod, 4th – £50 Tesco Voucher. Tickets £1 each or a book for £5. Good Luck and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday 7th December. It is only 2 weeks off. (If you have any unwanted gifts or chocolates, bottles for the tombola, items of Bric-a-brac, Toiletries, Fancy Goods, Bottles, Games, plus toys for our Father Christmas’ Grotto please put them in the box at the back of church. SENIOR CITIZEN’S FREE CHRISTMAS LUNCH

Are you in St. Mary’s or St. Richard’s Parish and aged over 65? We would like to invite you to a Free Christmas Lunch at St. Mary’s Parish Centre on Sunday 21st December 2014 at 2pm. This is a ticket only event. Tickets will be available from Friday, 28th November from Marion Quinn/St. Mary’s Parish Centre and the Presbytery Monday to Friday between 9am – 1.30pm. Please get your ticket early to avoid disappointment as numbers are limited. Please note that tickets must be obtained in advance.

 

THANK YOU

Sister Edith wishes to sincerely thank everyone for the Mass cards, gifts and donations she received for her Golden Jubilee of religious prefession. The donations will be shared between the sick and needy children in Africa and those in Bangladesh.

Sister also thanks the pupils of St. Richard’s, St. Peter’s and the Barlow for their inspiring participation and the teachers who decorated the Church and the Blue Bell Inn. God Bless you all.

 

FREE WEB DESIGN TRAINING

Child Education Development and Empowerment Trust Fund is offering nine weeks of free Web Design Training as part of the charity’s employability skills course. This practical and interactive course is for adults 19 years and above who are unemployed or economically inactive and who wish to build a career in web design and development, or those who want to learn web design skills in order to start their own businesses that require functional website.  Course Registration is from 17th November to 26th November between 10.30am to 1.00pm at the course centre – Unit 96 Cariocca (East Manchester) Business Park, 2 Sawley Rd, Miles Platting, M40 8BB. See notice board in the church porch for further information.

 

CHILDREN’S DISCO The Children’s Disco held on the 23rd October in St. Mary’s Parish Centre raised £325.65 for St. Mary’s School Fund. Well done to all concerned.
