PENTECOST PASTORAL LETTER for this weekend from the Bishops of England and Wales can be found on the table as you leave church.

On this Pentecost day we remember that one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, is Courage. Many parishioners have shown great courage, in returning to Mass in these past months. Let us pray for all our parishioners and especially for those who are still anxious to return to Mass. Pray that we will all be able to gather together soon.
As we prepare, we hope, for a lifting of restrictions on June 21st, what can we as a parish look forward to? Here are a few hopeful suggestions…….
• The whole community can gather together on a Sunday, the Day of the Lord, to celebrate the Eucharist with no social distancing.
• We can welcome back all our parishioners and especially our young families.
• We can all sing again, and I look forward to our churches being filled with song.
• After Mass we can continue our celebration over a cup of tea in our halls, a chance to catch up with friends we perhaps haven’t seen for over a year.
