THE RETURN OF THE SUNDAY OBLIGATION
Next Sunday, the first Sunday in Advent sees the return of the traditional obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy days. As you know, the obligation was suspended for the duration of the Pandemic. We should see its return as an invitation to return to normal practice in our parishes. People who are nervous about returning on Sundays can now return on a weekday, when there will be very few people present in church. It has been so good to see parishioners return to Mass over the last few weeks. We can now look forward to a return of our usual Sunday timetable.
