ST. RICHARD’S COFFEE MORNING every Wednesday in the Sacristy after morning Mass. Everyone Welcome.

A SECOND COLLECTION will be taken this weekend for the Home Missions. It is the day in the Church’s calendar when the bishops’ invite every member of the Catholic community to pray for, celebrate and support the work of evangelisation in England and Wales.

 

AN EVENING OF ART, MUSIC AND THEATRE: The Stockport Art Gallery, Wellington Road South, SK3 8AB are holding an Art Gallery next Saturday, 26th September from 6pm – 9pm. MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING: You’re invited to join us for coffee and cake to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support next Sunday 27th September at 12noon in St. Mary’s Parish Centre. There will also be a cake sale plus the usual breakfast available. Donations of cakes to sell will be gratefully received. Donations can be left at the hall before 6.30pm Mass on 26th September or before 11am Sunday Mass.

         

NATIONAL OLDER PEOPLE’S DAY is celebrated on Thursday, 1st October. The event will be held at St. Mary’s Parish Centre from 11am – 3pm. In the morning there will be an information and health stalls ‘marketplace’ followed by an afternoon of entertainment, taster sessions and fun activities aimed at the 50+ age group, including the opportunity to ‘have your say’ on what would make our local area more age-friendly.

 

CRAZY BINGO: Come and join us playing crazy bingo!

On Sunday, 4th October from 1pm – 3pm in St. Mary’s Parish Centre. Tea and Cake also provided. Cost £5 all-inclusive plus raffle prizes. All proceeds to St. Mary’s Underage G.A.A.

 

CHARITY EVENT FOR THE CHRISTIE: St. Mary’s Parish Centre are holding a fundraising night for The Christie on Saturday, 10th October from 8pm. Entertainment provided by Pat Jordan and Finian’s Rainbow plus John Brennan (JIB) Disco. Tickets £5 (pay on the door). Further information can be obtained from John at 07836 252 046.

 

ROME – The Holy Year of Mercy: Ann Tipper from St. Bernard’s parish is organising a trip to Rome from 11th – 16 September 2016. Cost per person £499.
