HOLY COMMUNION AT HOME: Our Eucharistic Ministers are able to take Holy Communion once more to the sick and housebound at home (though not yet to those in nursing homes). It’s possible now that some who used to attend Mass regularly before the pandemic may not now feel fit enough to return. Would you like Holy Communion to be brought to you at home? Please contact Fr. HOLY HOUR FOR PEACE IN UKRAINE: Bishop John is inviting the faithful of our diocese to join him in prayer this Sunday as he holds a special Holy Hour for peace in Ukraine. The Holy Hour will take place at 2.30pm this Sunday, 20th March at Salford Cathedral. For almost three weeks, the lives of millions of people have been torn apart by war in Ukraine, with hundreds losing their lives and Europe witnessing its biggest refugee crisis since World War Two.

We ask for prayers for our parents in their preparation of the Children for these great Sacraments supported by our parish programme and catechists.
ALTAR SERVERS: Some of our Altar Servers who were serving prior to the start of the pandemic have either relocated or gone on to further studies/university. We thank them for their services and would therefore now like to recruit some new young servers who will be given appropriate basic training. Perhaps parents or carers with children who have made their First Holy Communion and who might be interested in carrying out this much valued privileged ministry are welcome to contact Fr. Dever on 0161 224 1498 in order to discuss this further.
MISSIO RED BOXES: Will parishioners who have a Red Mission box, please bring them to be emptied during the month of March to the parish office at St. Mary’s. If you are unable to come to church and would like us to call and collect your box from home please give us a call at the office on 0161 248 8836.The Mill Hill Fathers depend on the money raised from these boxes to finance their Missionary work overseas, in common with all charities, they have had a big drop in income during the pandemic.
DAY TRIP TO LLANDUDNO: Saturday 30th April. Coach leaving from St. Mary’s Car Park at 8.50am, Return journey leaving Llandudno at 5.30pm, Cost £13 per person. See Peggy Sweeny or Bridie Mulligan to reserve a seat on the coach.

DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO WALSINGHAM LED BY
BISHOP JOHN ARNOLD ON SATURDAY 7th MAY 2022
After a break of two years, due to the pandemic, we are pleased to confirm the resumption of our annual pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Shrine in England. The pilgrimage will be led by Bishop John and will take place on Saturday 7th May 2022. We hope coaches will be available from each deanery, leaving around 7.00am and arriving back around 10.00pm. Alongside this, there will be a Youth Pilgrimage for young people in years 7, 8 and 9. The Youth coach will leave on Friday 6th May 2022 around 10am from Salford Cathedral and arrive back around 10.00pm on Saturday 7th May. The group will be staying at Elmham House in Walsingham.
