HOLY WEEK: The last week of Lent is known as Holy Week. It is when we Christians remember the last week of Jesus’ life; it is the most important time in our liturgical year. I urge you to take the time to celebrate it all with due reverence and devotion. Do make this your Holy Week – begin with the Sacrament of Reconciliation at St. Mary’s next Tuesday, 22nd March at 7.30pm.

SEDER MEAL (LAST SUPPER): This meal forms part of our Holy Week reflections. It commemorates in a prayerful way the last meal Jesus shared with his twelve apostles at the Jewish Festival of Passover. We will share the meal with Churches Together in Levenshulme at 7.15pm in St. Mary’s Parish Centre next Wednesday, 23rd March. Anyone who would like to reserve a place please contact Marie Sartini on 07747 851 239.

THE CHRISM MASS this year will be held on Wednesday, 23rd March at 11 o’clock in the Cathedral Church. The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop John and the priests of the diocese. Tickets are available if anyone would like to go.

WALK OF WITNESS: We are invited to join with the other churches on a ‘Walk of Witness’ from St. Mary’s to St. Peter’s Church, along Stockport Road on Good Friday morning after the Stations of the Cross.

Please note a Collection will be taken on Good Friday for the Shrines of Palestine.

FULL IRISH BREAKFAST will be served in St. Mary’s Parish Centre today (Sunday) after the 11 o’clock Mass. Bar also available. Cost £5 per person.
