MONDAY NOVEMBER 2nd – HOLY SOULS
The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed.
This is a day we dedicate to the memory of all who have gone before us. We will have Mass tomorrow (Monday) at 9.15am at St. Richard’s and 7.00pm at St. Mary. At St. Mary’s a box will be at the back of church for you to place the names of your loved ones in. It will be brought up with the offertory gifts at the Masses on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings and all whose names are in it will be remembered throughout the month of November.
MASS OF REMEMBRANCE: St. Mary’s Mass for the Deceased of the past twelve months will be celebrated at 11 o’clock next Saturday, 7th November. We will remember especially all those whose funerals took place at St. Mary’s; we pray for them and all who mourn them. After the Mass light refreshments will be served in the lounge area of the parish centre.
REMEMBRANCE ASSEMBLY: On Wednesday, 11th November the Year 6 children from St. Mary’s School will be leading a remembrance assembly in the school hall at 9.15am in a solemn tribute to the armed forces and their families who are affected by all wars past and present. Everyone is welcome to come along.
ST. MARY’S & ST. RICHARD’S 500 CLUB: Many thanks to all who have joined the 500 Club (318 members). New members may join at any time but will pay the full £10 membership even though prize draws may have started. The list of winners will be printed each weekend in the newsletter and on the notice board in church.
