I would like to thank all those who helped prepare our children for the Sacraments last year. A special word of thanks to Sharon Wilson and Fiona Keane, who led the “Do This in Memory” programme. We now need to begin the preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. So I am now asking for volunteers to help organise and take part in the Sacramental Programme for this year. There will be a short meeting next Thursday, 22nd October at 7pm in the Parish Meeting Room in St. Mary’s Presbytery for anyone who would be willing to help me in any way.   (Fr. Dever)

Full membership information including agent’s books are available on the table at the back of church. We don’t want you to miss the opportunity of being part of the 500 Club. If you would like to be a member and don’t know an agent please write your name and contact telephone number on the list at the back of church and an agent will get in touch. All memberships need to be in by Thursday, 29th October to be included in the first draw on Saturday, 31st October. The draws will be held in the Meeting Room in St. Mary’s Presbytery after the 6.30pm Saturday evening Mass. This is a great way to support your parish and stand a chance of winning a cash prize.

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE: St. Mary’s Parish Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated on Saturday, 7th November at 11am. During this very special parish celebration we prayerfully remember all our deceased parishioners and all whose funerals were celebrated in the parish during the past 12 months. (November 2014 to October 2015). After the Mass light refreshments will be served in the parish centre. We also devote the month of November to remembering not only our own loved ones who have died but “all who have gone before us marked with the sign of Faith.” A box at the back will be provided for you to place the names of your loved ones in. It will be brought up with the offertory gifts on Sundays, and all whose names are in it will be remembered throughout the month of November.

ST. MARY’S CHRISTMAS FAIR: The Parish Christmas Fair will be held on Sunday, 6th December. Anyone who would like to give a gift of toys, toiletries, cakes, chocolates, books, bottle of something and other saleable items please leave in the box available at the back of church. Thank you
