SECOND COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND: This year, Day for Life will focus on all those who are suffering or have survived human trafficking and modern slavery. As Pope Francis has said, “The trade in human beings violates the God-given dignity of so many of our brothers and sisters, and constitutes a true crime against humanity”. There are information cards at the back of church, or you can find more by visiting www.dayforlife.org. Please support the vital work of Day for Life in our second collection today.

RESURFACING OF ST. MARY’S CAR PARK: The work will start this Monday 18th June and will take approximately 5 days to complete. The resurfacing work will take place on the right hand side as you enter the car park and also in-between the church and the parish centre, including making a footpath around the hall and across to the church. There will be fresh line markings to mark car parking bays and disabled bays. The car park will remain operational through-out the works, and all functions will still be available in the hall for the regular weekly events.

THANKSGIVING MASS next Sunday 24th June at 11 o’clock at St. Mary’s Church for the First Holy Communion Children, followed by their Communion Breakfast in the parish social centre afterwards.

ST. RICHARD’S SUMMER FAIR (only 3 weeks away): The event will be held on Sunday, 8th July, in the Church Grounds. This event is one of our main fundraising events for our parish during the year. We are looking for gifts for the tombola and any other quality items you no longer need for our many stalls, plus donations for raffle prizes. The Summer Fair is a great social event for the parish, families and the wider community. Please support!

LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR SUMMER FAIR: St. Joseph’s Home, 52 Plymouth Grove West, Longsight will be held next Saturday, 23rd June from 1.00pm. See poster for details.
