CELEBRATION OF FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Today (Sunday) St. Mary’s Year 3 boys and girls will receive their First Holy Communion at the 1.00pm Mass.
St. Richard’s children will receive their First Holy Communion next Thursday 17th May at 6.30pm, and the following Thursday 24th May at 6.30pm.
Please remember the children and their parents in your prayers. Sincere gratitude to teachers and catechists who have played such an important part in the formation of the children.

WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY today Sunday 13th May when the Catholic Church asks us to pray for those who work in the media and when a second collection is taken after Mass to fund this important work. Please help to continue this work through contributing generously to this collection.

MUSIC MINISTRY TRAINING DAY: A day for singers, organists and musicians from around the Diocese Saturday 14th July from 10.30am – 4.30pm at the Cathedral Centre. Mass for Musicians at 3.30pm. CARERLINKS is a free service available to unpaid carers in the Manchester and West Cheshire area. They are keen to recruit Volunteer Befrienders. Can you spare a couple of hours to change someone’s life for the better? The role may include: Visiting carers in their own homes, weekly telephone call to a carer, social visit to a café and a cup of tea, accompanying a carer to a social activity.
