HOLY COMMUNION AT HOME: Our Eucharistic Ministers are able to take Holy Communion once more to the sick and housebound at home (though not yet to those in nursing homes). It’s possible now that some who used to attend Mass regularly before the pandemic may not now feel fit enough to return. Would you like Holy Communion to be brought to you at home? Please contact Fr. Dever (224 1498) or the Parish Office (248 8836).

STATIONS OF THE CROSS FOR LENT: You are welcome to join us in St. Mary’s Church for the Stations of the Cross on the Sundays of Lent at 6pm. The Stations are a moving traditional Catholic devotion uniting us with Our Lord on his journey to Calvary. It is an opportunity also to be united in prayer for the suffering people of Ukraine and for all who suffer in our world today especially through war and violence.

ALTAR SERVERS: Some of our Altar Servers who were serving prior to the start of the pandemic have either relocated or gone on to further studies/university. We thank them for their services and would therefore now like to recruit some new young servers who will be given appropriate basic training. Perhaps parents or carers with children who have made their First Holy Communion and who might be interested in carrying out this much valued privileged ministry would have a word with Fr. Michael.

MISSIO RED BOXES: Will parishioners who have a Red Mission box, please bring them to be emptied during the month of March to the parish office at St. Mary’s.  If you are unable to come to church and would like us to call and collect your box from home please give us a call at the office on 0161 248 8836.The Mill Hill Fathers depend on the money raised from these boxes to finance their Missionary work overseas, in common with all charities, they have had a big drop in income during the pandemic.

After a break of two years, due to the pandemic, we are pleased to confirm the resumption of our annual pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Shrine in England. Alongside this, there will be a Youth Pilgrimage for young people in years 7, 8 and 9.
