SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
If anyone would like to go to Confession, please contact
Fr. Dever on 0161` 224 1498 to make an appointment. Confession boxes cannot be used at this time.
The focus for Racial Justice Sunday 2022 builds on the theme from last year ‘A Time to Act’, which reflected on the importance of everyone recognising themselves, their race, their culture and their history in the life of the Church. The aim, this year, is to continue conversations about how we see others in the “Image and Likeness of God”.
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference (CBCEW) are encouraging Catholics to mark the day by praying the words of Pope Francis taken from his encyclical letter Fratelli Tutti – on fraternity and social friendship:
“Come, Holy Spirit, show us your beauty, reflected in all the peoples of the earth, so that we may discover anew that all are important and all are necessary, different faces of the one humanity that God so loves. Amen”
FINAL FEW WEEKS TO RESPOND TO UNIVERSAL SYNOD
Parishes and individuals across the diocese only have a few short weeks left to respond to the first part of our Universal Synod. The Synod, called by Pope Francis in 2021, is a prime opportunity for us to hear what God wants for the Church as it goes forward. Bishop John reminds us of this valuable opportunity to share our thoughts on how the Church may better live out Gospel values. If you use a computer then please click on the following link, https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/3D3FXJ2 which will take you to the questions we are being asked to answer. If you do not use a computer, then please pick up a copy from the back of church. We have until the 1st March 2022 to respond to the Pope’s invitation
