SECOND COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND FOR RETIRED PRIESTS FUND: There are currently some 60 retired priests of the Diocese of Salford. They have generously given their lives in ministry and service in the pastoral care of our people. Now we must be sure to provide for their comfort and well-being in retirement. Please be as generous as you are able in your contribution to their care.

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE today Sunday 12th November at Southern Cemetery at 2pm in remembrance of parishioners who have died in the last year.

LADIES OF CHARITY: The Manchester branch of the Ladies of Charity will celebrate Mass at 7.15pm in St. Mary’s Church next Thursday 16th November followed by a meeting in the presbytery afterwards. New members most welcome to come along.

ST. PAUL SUNDAY MISSAL 2018: Anyone who would like to order a copy will you please write your name and contact number on the list which is on the table at the back in St. Mary’s Church. Price will be approximately £5.50, depending on amount ordered. (Order will be placed end of November.)

MANY THANKS to all those who were responsible for providing the great selection of home-made pastries served in St. Mary’s Community Centre last Saturday after the Remembrance Mass. It was wonderful to see the effort that the ladies went to in providing such a warm welcome to the people who visited the hall after the Mass.

ST. MARY’S & ST. RICHARD’S CHRISTMAS FAIR: The countdown is on to our Annual Christmas Fairs! We are now only 2-3 weeks away until the big day and we need YOUR help please!! The Christmas Fair is a vital source of income for our parish and we want to make this event as successful as possible. Can you donate or help out on the day? We urgently require donations of Tombola prizes for all ages, Bottles for the bottle stall, raffle prizes, toys, toiletries, fancy goods, chocolates etc., All donations can be dropped off at either St. Mary’s or St. Richard’s presbytery over the next few weeks or put in the box at the back of church.
