RETIRED CLERGY FUND COLLECTION TODAY
The fund helps the diocese care for our retired priests, assuring that they have support and assistance after their active ministry has ended. The diocese is committed to care for our retired priests, but we need your help to do so. Please pray for them, and for an increase in vocations to the priesthood.

JOURNEY IN FAITH PROGRAMME: The R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) course started last Wednesday, 7th November at 7.15pm in the Meeting Room of St. Mary’s Presbytery for those who wish to be received into the Catholic Church next Easter 2019. PARISH CHRISTMAS FAIRS: St. Richard’s fair is on Sunday 2nd December. St. Mary’s fair on Sunday 16th December. We would be grateful if you would please start bringing in items for the various stalls – Tombola, Bottles, Bric-a-Brac, Games, Toys, Toiletries, and Fancy Goods. Please think about baking for the cake stall. Helpers needed to man the various stalls. Donations can be handed in to both church presbyteries.
CHRISTMAS RAFFLE TICKETS: These are available at the back of both churches, they cost £2.50 per book. Please take some to buy for yourself and some to sell to family and friends. The draw will take place at St. Mary’s Christmas Fair on Sunday 16th December.

CORNERSTONE: As winter approaches Cornerstone are appealing for woolly hats, scarves, gloves and socks for homeless and vulnerable people. Please leave donations at the back of church. Thank you.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE DATES 2019
Would all couples contemplating marriage next year please note the dates of the Marriage Preparation Course for 2019 (all Saturdays) at Stockport Marriage Care are:
9th February 23rd March 18th May 6th July

LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR Christmas Fair takes place next Saturday, 17th November from 1.00pm See poster in the church porch for full details.

BINGO: Every Sunday at 8pm in the Lounge area of the parish community centre. Come and join us.
