During this last year or more, most of us have experienced what is perhaps an unprecedented time of isolation and perhaps loneliness and sadly, even depression. This perhaps gives us some empathy with the thousands of impoverished citizens of our planet who have little choice but to endure this isolation for months on end, year in and year out crewing ships which bring us well over 90% of the goods we buy. They do this to send back their meagre wages to support their families back home who are equally separated from them.

LATEST GUIDELINES: In spite of concerns about the Delta variant of Coronavirus, restrictions are now easing everywhere, and we can now look forward to a return to something like normal soon. We are awaiting a further easing of restrictions from the Bishops of England and Wales. At the moment with regards to Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals, numbers attending can now be the same as at Mass. All previous precautions including social distancing, the wearing of face masks and sanitisation regimes must still remain in place until further notice. Once we are allowed to have meetings and gatherings again – especially social gatherings we will obviously publish that news as soon as we hear. Thank you for your continued patience.

MISSIO MISSION BOXES: Will parishioners who have a Red Mission Box please bring them in to be emptied. The Mill Hill Fathers depend on money raised from these boxes to finance their Missionary work overseas. In common with all Charities, they have had a big drop in income during the past year.

OFFERTORY DONATIONS: If you wish to switch from a weekly envelope to a standing order, please just provide your bank with the following details: Payee: The Salford Diocesan Trust St Robert of Newminster. Sort Code: 20 55 34 Account No. 40101222.
